Terms — DRAFT
Terms, and “not advice”
Know Your Records gives general information and templates. It is not legal advice and it is not medical advice.
DRAFT — placeholder only
These terms are a placeholder for the owner and a solicitor to replace. They are not a finished legal document and should not be relied on as one.
Not legal or medical advice
- Information and templates, not legal advice. The letters are templates. We do not tell you whether you have a case, and we do not predict whether a complaint or claim would succeed.
- Not medical advice. Nothing here diagnoses anything or recommends treatment. For urgent advice call NHS 111; in an emergency call 999.
- The report’s “areas that may need further exploration” are points you may want to ask about, not conclusions. They do not say anyone was at fault.
- If you are thinking about legal action, speak to a regulated solicitor. Legal time limits are different from the 12-month NHS complaints time limit.
- Know Your Records does not sell, refer or pass on personal injury or clinical negligence “leads”, and takes no fees or commission for referring anyone. [TO CONFIRM by the owner, and keep true.]
AI
This site has no AI of its own. If you use an AI, its answers can be wrong, incomplete or misread a document. Always check them against your original records and speak to a clinician or regulated solicitor. Your use of a third-party AI is under that provider’s terms. Reading photos and scans uses text recognition that makes mistakes.
Using the site
- Use it only for records you are entitled to see, and for lawful purposes.
- Check letters and details before you send anything. You are responsible for what you send and for what you paste into any third-party AI.
- Your information is stored on your device. If you clear your browser data, use “Delete all my data” or lose the device, it is gone.
Still to be written (for the solicitor)
- Who the operator is, contact details, and governing law. [TO CONFIRM]
- Limits of liability, in a form valid for consumers in the UK.
- Intellectual property and acceptable use.
- Wording about links to third-party sites.
- How these terms interact with the privacy notice (draft).
